Construction Update

It has been 4 weeks since our Construction Has Begun! blog and so much progress has been made! Let’s take a look.

A process called core drilling was completed, which takes a cylinder of the concrete out to make room for plumbing.

While that was happening, the foundation for the framing was started. This really made the room sizes come to life. Did you know the average hotel room size is 300-325 square feet? Our smallest room measures 336 square feet with the largest suite coming in at 522 square feet!

The concrete lobby floor was poured by removing a window from the front of the building and backing the cement truck right up to it. The framing for the office and storage area will be completed soon.

Once core drilling was completed, the framing for each room was started. Can you imagine how luxurious this room will feel when complete?

Framing might not seem fun, but it has transformed the space to look more like the finished product, even if we have a ways to go. We did tackle the exciting task of reviewing the location of every light fixture, outlet, tv box, and switch with Guaranteed Electric Service, Inc. Arch + Cable as a brand is intentional in everything from the look and feel of the hotel to the most practical location for TV’s and light switches.

Construction will continue to move at a rapid pace and we will be open before you know it! Be one of the first guests to book your stay.
